Abstract

The influence of inclined vortex rings (VR) on heat transfer augmentation in a uniform heat-fluxed tube has been investigated experimentally. In the present work, thevortex rings were mounted repeatedly in the tube with various angle (250,300,350) and geometry parameters of the VR, three relative pitch ratios (PR = P/D = 2, 1 and 0.5) and at constant relative ring blockage ratios (BR = b/D = 0.2). Air was employed as the test fluid in the tube for the Reynolds number from 12000 to 24,500. The aim at using the VRs is to create counter-rotating vortices inside the tube to help increase the turbulence intensity as well as to convey the colder fluid from the core regime to the heated-wall region. The experimental results show a significant effect of the presence of the VRs on the heat transfer and pressure loss over the smooth tube. The larger BR value provides higher heat transfer and pressure loss than the smaller. The Nusselt number is maximum for vortex ring angle 350, but due to the large increase in the friction factor, thermal performance decreases. However, the VR at BR = 0.2 and PR = 0.5 with 300 yields the best thermal performance.

But in today’s era where with the maximum use of technology the eavesdropper power has been increased really very much. So there is a need of increased security. But the security of text based encryption scheme is always at risk. If we use graphical shape for the encryption with the text based encryption we can provide a better security layer. In this paper we are going to propose a hybrid encryption approach with the Hyper Encryption and Geometric Cryptography in this we will use the two layer security and try to make a protocol that provide a better security with a reliable approach

Abstract

Testing is a process that never ends even after the software delivery. During the Acceptance testing if some changes are required in the software in terms of inclusion or exclusion of some module, In such case it is required to test the software again. But it is not feasible to test all cases. Now the work is to test only the required module instead of testing all. This whole concept is presented by Regression Testing. But while selecting the test module numbers of available factors are there. In this proposed work we will assign the prioritization to the test cases based on the number of faults in that module initially and the module critically level to the fault. According to this fault oriented module analysis the prioritization will be assigned to the test cases. An optimized approach is defined to perform for regression testing. The optimization is here performed to generate the regression test sequence using ACO approach. In this paper work an integrated model will used that will combine all these approaches and generate the optimal test sequence based on test case prioritization. The work will also design a hybrid approach for the generation of test case prioritization

Abstract

Security is a key requirement for cloud computing combine as a robust and feasible versatile solution. Central component of managing risks in cloud computing is to understand the nature of security threats. Recognizing both the promise of cloud computing, and the risks associated with ithere we identify critical areas in cloud computing andunderstand cloud security threats in order to make educated risk-management decisions regarding cloud adoption strategies. This report focuses on threats specifically related to the shared, on-demand nature of cloud computing.

Abstract

The importance of Tabernaemontana divaricata ,Polianthes tuberosa flower and Silver nanoparticles as revealed by various literature resources, we planned to carry out biogenic synthesis of Silver nanoparticles using the above two extracts. Silver nanoparticles were prepared by adopting standard procedure. The formations of Silver nanoparticles from the extracts were identified first by observing the colour changes. The extract colour changes during the formation of Silver nanoparticles from light yellow to yellowish-brown for Tabernaemontana divaricata and pale yellow to dark red for Polianthes tuberosa. Silver nanoparticle formations were characterized by UV, FT-IR, XRD and SEM. UV absorbance at 460nm and at 430nm for Silver nanoparticles derived from the above two flower extracts. FT-IR stretching frequencies at 509cm-1 for both the flower extracts proved the formation of silver nanoparticles. XRD & SEM analysis of silver nanoparticles indicated that they exist in spherical, face centered cubic (fcc) crystalline structure with size range 32nm and 17nm respectively. On comparing invitro bioactivities of Tabernaemontana divaricata flower extract , Polianthes tuberosa flower extract and their Silver nanoparticles by zone of inhibition studies showed that Silver nanoparticles are highly active against Staphylococcus aureus and Pseudomonas aeruginosa with the zone of inhibition in 16&11mm and 14&10mm respectively.

Abstract

Miniature heat exchanger concept is gaining popularity in automotive and other industrial applications due to enhanced heat flux, light weight, and larger heat transfer area density compared to conventional heat exchangers. Heat transfer and flow characteristics of different viscous liquids, such as engine oil, automatic transmission fluid, 50% ethylene glycol, and Deionized water were numerically analyzed through a multi-port serpentine minichannel heat exchanger (MICHX). Hot liquids of different flow rates at constant temperature of 76°C were cooled by a constant air temperature of 14°C and flow rate of 507 g/s. The heat transfer performance of engine oil was found poor compared to other fluids. Pressure drop in MICHX for engine oil was also found extremely higher compared to water. However, the distribution of temperature, mass flow rate, and heat transfer rate in each channel is more even for high-viscosity fluids compared to lowviscosity fluids. The entrance region effects in thermal and flow fields for high-viscosity fluids were observed negligible.

Abstract

In the last decade, several researchers have investigated techniques to detect duplicated code in programs exceeding hundreds of thousands lines of code. All of these techniques have known merits and deficiencies, but as of today, little is known on where to fit these techniques into the software maintenance process. This paper compares three representative detection techniques (simple line matching, parameterized matching, and metric fingerprints) by means of five small to medium cases and ses the differences between the reported matches. Based on this experiment, we conclude that (1) simple line matching is best suited for a first crude overview of the duplicated code; (2) metric fingerprints work best in combination with a refactoring tool that is able to remove duplicated subroutines; (3) parameterized matching works best in combination with more fine-grained refactoring tools that work on the statement level.

Abstract

In the present study, thermal analysis of electronic processor is proposed and an effort is made to decrease the maximum temperature in processor by employing straight rectangular fins which aid in rapid heat removal to the surroundings for ensuring the optimal working of the processor. Heat is generated in the processor and Heat removal is augmented by the application of fins to it. Comparative study is presented by selecting Silicon and Copper material for electronic processor, rectangular in shape enclosed by a steel casing and to it aluminum fins are attached. Modeling and Analysis carried out using Finite Element Method (FEM) based software, ANSYS APDL. Heat flows out from the processor to the surrounding through the casing and then fins attached to it. Convective boundary condition is applied to the casing and fins except the bottom which is insulated. Increase in number of fins leads to decrease in maximum temperature and increase in heat flux of the processor proportionally. The results report the temperature distribution and heat flux contour for different selection in number of fins. Conclusion are drawn from results pertaining using the appropriate number of fins to be used to optimize the maximum temperature in processor. Results show that ANSYS APDL can be used effectively and efficiently to solve challenging heat transfer problem. Abstract

As a probability-based statistical classification method, the Naïve Bayesian classifier has gained wide popularity; however, the performance of Naive Bayes classification algorithm suffers in the domains (data set) that involve correlated features. [Correlated features are the features which have a mutual relationship or connection with each other. As correlated features are related to each other, they are measuring the same feature only, means they are redundant features]. This paper is focused upon optimization of Naive Bayes classification algorithms to improve the accuracy of generated classification results with reduced time to build the model from training dataset. The aim is to improve the performance of Naive Bayes algorithms by removing the redundant correlated features before giving the dataset to classifier. This paper highlights and discusses the mathematical derivation of Naive Bayes classifier and theoretically proves how the redundant correlated features reduce the accuracy of the classification algorithm. Finally, from the experimental reviews using WEKA data mining software, this paper presents the impressive results with significant improvement into the accuracy and time taken to build the model by Naive Bayes classification algorithm.

Abstract

In this paper, Computational Fluid Dynamics technique is used to investigate the rocket thrust chamber cooling characteristics. The scope of the investigation involves the study of effect of aspect ratio (height/width) and sub cooling on the heat transfer characteristics of coolant channel. Steady state pressure based analysis is carried out in work. The temperature distributions of coolant along the coolant channel, temperature distributions of copper and stainless steel walls are the main focus of the study. The effect of film cooling and sub cooling are also studied in the analysis.In all above mentioned cases the, the coolant(kerosene ,which is the fuel) enters at the aft end of the thrust chamber and passes through the rectangular cooling channels before it is fed to the injectors.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to develop the strength in flexure shear of reinforced concrete beam with the help of fiber polymer composites. We use the glass fiber and other polymer matrix as a reinforcement material. The suitability of polymer reinforcement as hard binding material for concrete has been assessed by comparing its ultimate bearing capacity of reinforced concrete beam. We prepare the two set of beam, in set I, we construct three beam, in this 1st beam is normal control beam , and the other two beam are made with fiber reinforcement . As same in set II, three beam are construct, 1st beam is normal and other are made with fiber reinforcement polymer in different way. And compare the result of each beam with each other. The effect of number of GFRP layers and its orientation on ultimate load carrying capacity. The test result indicates that fiber reinforcement polymer can be used effectively used to improve strength of beam.

Abstract

This research paper represents a framework for ranking of software metrics based on expert opinion elicitation and fuzzy-based matrix methodology. The proposed methodology is able to accommodate the imprecise and inexact data involved in the problem of ranking of software engineering metrics, vagueness and ambiguity occurring during expert (human) decision making and to depart from the complexity of formulation of the objective and the constraint function. The goal of performing this empirical research is to improve the understanding of software metrics that may have influence on software reliability and analyze the significance of their effects. Thus, it requires developing a fuzzy-based matrix methodology to systematically rank the existing software metrics with respect to their impact on the prediction of software reliability.

Abstract

In this research, the investigation is done to increase the energy absorption capacity of BRGLC by varying its thickness. For this purpose we use interlayer of PVB, PU and PC. This research shows that by introducing PVB, PU, and PC layers, the energy absorption capacity of BRGLC can be increase.
