ПРАВОВА СУТНІСТЬ ЛЕГІТИМНОСТІ ДЕРЖАВНОЇ ВЛАДИ

Abstract
The article examines the issue of the legal nature of the legitimacy of state power. The legitimacy is one of the fundamental properties of state power, is reflected in the interaction between the state and society, is a complex social phenomenon, manifested in both the legal and political spheres. Legitimacy always implies at least a minimum level of consensus between civil society and the state, and the basis of this consensus is the general recognition of basic political and legal values. The legitimacy of power means that people are perceived state power as legitimate and recognize the right to make competent decisions by the authorities, and the obligation to carry out these decisions.
