ATAKUM VE ATAKENT’TE (SAMSUN) HALKIN KIYI VE KIYI DENİZ SUYU KİRLİLİĞİNİ ALGILAMASI

Abstract
Bu çalışmanın amacı, Atakum ve Atakent (Samsun)’te halkın kıyı deniz suyu ve kıyı kirliliğini algılamasını belirlemektir. Bunun için 2006 yılı Haziran ayında 100, 2007 yılı Temmuz ayında 45 olmak üzere her iki beldede toplam 145 hane halkı temsilcisiyle yüz yüze yazılı anket uygulaması yapılmıştır. Ankete cevap verenlerin %62’si çevrelerinde en önemli sorun olarak “kıyı deniz suyu kirliliği” ni görmektedir. Bu kirliliğin nedenini ise halkın %76’sı “kanalizasyon” olduğunu düşünmektedir. Ankete katılanların %27’si sahip oldukları çevre duyarlılığı ve bilincinin kaynağını ilk, orta ve yükseköğretimden aldıkları bilgiler oluşturduğunu açıklamışlardır. Anket sonuçları, belde halkının büyük çoğunluğunun çevreye karşı olumlu bilgi ve önerilere sahip olduğu, ancak uygulamada yetersizlikler olduğunu ortaya koymaktadır.
