THE EFFECTS OF UNIVERSITIES ON ANATOLIAN CITIES: A LITERATURE REVIEW

Abstract

In our country, the effects of the universities on Anatolian cities are a new area of research that has started to focus depending on the fact that in recent years there has not been a city without a university. The aim of this research is to analyze through a literature survey of which components of the city are focused by the studies those related to the effection of new universities to the cities, the dimensions of the interactions studied, the changes in the field of study in the process and to determine an alternative route map that can be followed in future studies. In the study, the university-city interaction was examined by considering the researches on the interactions in economic, social and spatial dimensions.
