nfluence of Induction Hardening on Wear Resistance in Case of Rolling Contact
Journal Title: Strojnicky casopis - Journal of Mechanical Engineering - Year 2016, Vol 66, Issue 1
Abstract
The main aim of the presented paper is to show how heat treatment, in our case the induction hardening, will affect the wear rates as well as the ratcheting evolution process beneath the contact surface in the field of line rolling contact. Used wear model is based on shear band cracking mechanism [1] and non-linear kinematic and isotropic hardening rule of Chaboche and Lemaitre. The entire numerical simulations have been realized in the C# programming language. Results from numerical simulations are subsequently compared with experimental data.

Tracking Filter Design for Predictive Maintenance of Jet Engine – Different Approaches and their Comparison
The aim of this paper is to design, implement, test and compare several tracking filtration methods for predictive maintenance of a jet engine. Based on literature review multiple possible methods are described. Approp...
Process Parameters Optimization for Producing AA6061/TiB2 Composites by Friction Stir Processing
Friction stir processing (FSP) is solid state novel technique developed to refine microstructure and to improve the mechanical properties and be used to fabricate the aluminium alloy matrix composites. An attempt is ma...
All-Pass Filters in the Systems of Active Vibration Control of Weakly-Damped Systems
The problem of active vibration control of weakly damped mechanical structures is potentially unstable modes of vibrations due to the positive feedback for some vibration modes. The paper will discuss the change of pos...
Thermo-Hydraulic Behaviour of Coolant in Nuclear Reactor VVER-440 Under Refuelling Conditions
The paper presents the numerical simulation of thermo-hydraulic behaviour of coolant in the VVER- 440 nuclear reactor under standard outage conditions. Heating-up and flow of coolant between the reactor pressure vessel...
Thermal Characteristics of High Temperature Naturally Circulating Helium Cooling Loop
The paper deals with the process properties in terms of the heat transfer, i.e. the thermal performance of the thermal-process units within a helium loop intended for the testing of the decay heat removal (DHR) from th...
