Exploring the Connections between Health, Education, and Gender Equality

Abstract

This article focuses on exploring the link between health, health education, and the gender equality dimension. The gendered health determinants are highlighted based on relevant research. Taking into account different life experiences, different perceptions of health risks, different levels of vulnerability and resilience in girls and boys, we note the importance of education and health services carefully and responsibly addressing and responding to the needs of young people. The health of girls and boys must be addressed as a precondition for personal development and social sustainability.
