INOVAÇÃO E A INTERAÇÃO UNIVERSIDADE-EMPRESA: UMA ANÁLISE DE ESTUDOS E A SITUAÇÃO BRASILEIRA

Abstract
Although the main locus where innovation occurs in the market is the companies, history has shown that, in general, they are unable to empower themselves, requiring the existence of a national innovation system that assists them in this endeavor. In this context, the interaction of firms with universities and research institutes plays an important role. The purpose of this article is to review the literature on this topic, to identify the most frequently used indicators in studies in this area and gather information on the Brazilian situation. The method used consists of literature review and data from PINTEC survey. The study results show that there is no consensus on how to approach the subject, besides the existence of dispersion in the indicators used in the analysis. We can see that in Brazil this interaction is still limited, leaving space to move in that direction.
