O design de joias e a qualidade: diferenciais competitivos para as organizações joalheiras

Abstract

This paper is a theoretical reflection that relates quality and design in the production of jewelry, emphasizing this as a differential competitive element in the jewelry market. Much more than beautification of a product, design can be conceptualized as the excellence of the quality process, which involves all the attributes of the product. Using design in the production of jewelry, we wish to create products having a cultural reference, in order to acquire identity so that they are assimilated by the consumer. This work discusses issues related to the elaboration process of a product from the perspective of quality, aiming to satisfy the consumer. It follows that design can be considered a synonym for continuous improvement.
