MOTIVAÇÃO DOS PARTICIPANTES EM CURSO DE EXTENSÃO SOBRE ALIMENTAÇÃO E QUALIDADE DE VIDA NO PROCESSO DE ENSINOAPRENDIZAGEM

Abstract

Currently, extension courses are to complement the knowledge in a particular area in order to provide opportunities for social and human development, and diffusion of knowledge. The objective of this research is to train participants to an extension course on the importance of nutrition and quality of life, investigating later changes in the behavior of the group constituted for this qualification. The qualitative and quantitative research has descriptive profile and uses the technique of data collection to investigate a purpose. Adults of different ages who attended an extension course on nutrition and quality of life in the city of Faxinal do Soturno, RS, provided the data. To complement the data, a questionnaire was applied in order to analyze, among other information, the motivation participants had to look for the course. It was observed that the majority of participants took the course in search of new knowledge. It was also found that more than half of the participants reported being highly motivated and stimulated for it. The majority emphasizes the enthusiasm for trying new experiences in relation to learning, especially when they add knowledge beyond professional life. Thus, it emphasizes the importance of achieving extension courses on various topics that reach the community in order to expand knowledge beyond schools and universities.
