O TURISMO PEDAGÓGICO NA EDUCAÇÃO INFANTIL E A EDUCAÇÃO PARA A CIDADANIA

Abstract
This article is a study of the Pedagogical Tourism in Early Childhood School, and its ability to contribute to Citizenship Education. We want to encourage Pedagogical Tourism practices in Early Childhood School and the reflection on the role of Tourism in fostering citizenship. The research was developed in a qualitative and exploratory approach, performed by bibliographical survey and case study of Mimo de Gente early childhood school. The students were observed during the educational tours, an interview with the school principal was made and questionnaires were administered to teachers and parents. The study allowed us to understand the concept of citizenship and its relevance; identify the goals of education and its relationship to citizenship; investigate the role of tourism as an educational tool; understand the dynamics of the educational tours held at Mimo de Gente early childhood school; and check if parents and teachers of Mimo de Gente school identify educational tours as pedagogical tourism activities, and understand them as a fomentation of citizenship.
