A VARIAÇÃO LINGUÍSTICA NOS LIVROS DIDÁTICOS DE LÍNGUA PORTUGUESA (5a À 8a SÉRIES): CONCEITOS E PRECONCEITOS.

Abstract
Considering the importance of addressing the issue of language variation in the classroom, this article presents a sociolinguistic research conducted on two collections of Portuguese textbooks (LDP) of elementary school, with four books each collection. We will present the results showing how the concepts of linguistic variation and linguistic prejudice are proposed by the Sociolinguistics appearing in these textbooks and which way they are being addressed. For the analysis of selected materials, followed criteria established by the National Textbook (NPDB), Ministry of Education (MEC) and the Law of Directives and Bases of National Education (LDB). This paper is justified by the importance of knowing a little deeper into the Portuguese language textbooks being used in schools by teachers and students, and allow us a more critical view when selecting instructional materials to be used in classroom.
