Analysis of environmental safety of Chernobyl NPP coolant pool in case of tornado and earthquake

Abstract

The problems of ecological safety of natural technogenic water complexes are considered. For example, a Chernobyl NPP cooling water reservoir located in an area with a high tidal hazard justifies the possibility of occurrence of radioecological risks in the case of synchronous effects of tornadoes and earthquakes on the com- plex, may lead to flooding of the enclosure dam. The modeling of the process with the help of the hydrodynamic method of Professor V.I. Skalozubov is presented, in order to prevent flooding of the dam and the removal of radioactive substances outside the cooling water reservoir.
