ANOVA AND ANCOVA IN THE RESEARCH OF SOCIO-ECONOMIC INEQUALITIES IN EDUCATION

Abstract
The purpose of the article is to study theoretical and methodological foundations and practical features of different types of variance analysis implementation in the socio-economic sphere, particularly in education. Practical application of variance analysis based on educational data gives a reliable analytical findings and may serve as a basis for sound managerial decisions. At the same time, application of variance analysis in socio-economic researches, particularly in the sphere of education, is not commonly used in Ukraine. The above-mentioned determines the practical importance and novelty of the research.
