BREVE ANÁLISIS SOBRE EL DISEÑO TEÓRICO DE LA INVESTIGACIÓN CUALITATIVA EN LA CONSTRUCCIÓN DEL CONOCIMIENTO CIENTÍFICO

Abstract

In this paper, inherent aspects to the theoretical design of qualitative research are analyzed, with the purpose of contributing to the clarification of the assumed theoretical constructions, revealing their importance, specifying the purposes and guiding the elaboration of the theoretical design in the protocols of the aforementioned type of research. It is common knowledge that confusions regarding the epistemology of scientific research are frequent, and that these have led to theoretical-methodological biases that limit the quality of research processes and results. It must be borne in mind that qualitative research is based on the approach of naturalistic research; therefore, from its multimethod and interpretative nature, enables the understanding of the object of study as an incommensurably diverse reality. Although, the approach of facts, situations and social phenomena suggests a certain flexibility in the implementation of research processes and tools, it is no less true that the results revealed from this investigative approach should avoid the postulation of arbitrary superficialities with the pretension of being valued scientifically. That is to say, qualitative research must be carried out in compliance with the sufficient technical, methodological and scientific requirements in order to produce a plausible knowledge, and through this, positively affect on the solution of problems of daily life.
