Effect of the tangent of the cutting blade on the performance of machining

Abstract
The kinematic schemes of turning with a blade tool with tangential displacement of the cutting blade are considered. Methods are shown for reducing the tension of the cutting process due to interruption and periodization of the process and tangential movement of the blade along the contact interaction zone. The effect of the kinematic coefficient and cutting conditions on the dynamic characteristics of the process and the properties of the surfaces being formed are studied. It is shown that the rotation of the cutting blade provides a reduction in temperature in the cutting zone, an increase in the cutting speed by 2–5 times, and the change in the mechanisms of wear of the tool blade during the transition from cutting to the self-rotating blade allows to improve its technological resistance 3–50 times.
