ENTRE A FRONTEIRA VIVIDA E A FRONTEIRA PERCEBIDA: OS AGENTES PÚBLICOS NO ESPAÇO DE FRONTEIRA INTERNACIONAL

Abstract
While considering the real geographic space, aroused interests focused on territory studies neither are based on the territory itself, nor on the simplistic sense that the territory should be something noticeable in the landscape or only a reservoir from where men take material resources for survival. In this article, the interests go through the territory analysis as an expression of form, content and power. Therefore, federal public officers working on the border, who came from other regions, face adaptation difficulties due to the lack of identification with the area and, as a consequence, cannot handle forms, contents and power related to the typical complexities of a border area. Border environments demand a new way of looking and understanding the frontier by those who migrate to that region. In order to contribute with studies related to frontier regions, this text aims to discuss about the daily life of a national public officer, coming from other states and working on a border area, taking into account established relations with territory, space and routine.
