Abstract
The article outlines the main problems of determining the hierarchy of strategic documents of state policy in Ukraine, including in the area of combating crime. The author stresses that for a long time there is a discrepancy at the state level regarding the definition of a generalized notion, system and hierarchy of strategic documents, which leads to the ineffectiveness of strategic planning in the sphere of combating crime in Ukraine. The documents of strategic planning and programming of the state policy in the field of counteraction crime are presented.
