Incidencia de la violencia contra la mujer y miembros del núcleo familiar en tiempos de pandemia

Abstract
Violence is the expression of deliberate behavior by one person causing physical or psychological harm to another. Gender violence represents the transgression of human rights in the world and its origin has to do with the sex difference between men and women, who feel stronger and more powerful because of this difference, creating a cultural pattern in which women generally keep silent about men's mistreatment. In this sense, this work, with the objective of analyzing violence against women and members of the nuclear family in times of pandemic, in Ecuador, from a socio-legal perspective. For this, the methodology that guided the realization of this review article, is located in the descriptive modality that provides reliable and valid information on domestic violence, using literature review as a technique. From the reviews in the different sources of information it was evidenced as a result the tendency in increase of gender violence of women, being physical violence, followed by sexual violence, negligence and abandonment and finally psychological violence, which could develop a climate of social concern for the violation of the rights of women and therefore their family nucleus, it is concluded that the incidence in gender violence is a sociocultural issue of a patriarchal social ideology in people and organizations. It recognizes a solid legal framework, aligned with international conventions and agreements to guarantee the protection of women victims of gender-based violence.
