Indication for orthodontic treatment according to Evidence Based Method

Abstract
Introducing system which was presented will allow to take control over “orthodontic health” of all children in Poland. It will introduce transparent rules indicating which patient, regarding medical indications, orthodontic therapy is advisable. This means that people with smaller malocclusions will be able to be treated without reimbursement by the National Health Fund. In our population level of malocclusion reaches above 70% and it is not possible to treat all that cases, and we have to realise that not each malocclusion has to be treated. Therefore we prepared the system which gives us a chance to take care of about 30% of young population and what is even more important it will implement quicker possibility of direct contact with orthodontic specialist for the patients who truly need the orthodontic help.<br/><br/>
