Inhalation Therapy in Intensive Care Unit

Abstract

Inhaled drug therapy in respiratory critical care units is an important treatment choice. İnhalation therapy has been in use since beginning of 1900’s with the production of first liquid spray (atomiser). Today, there are numerous drugs given by inhalation. In this review, inhalational drugs and characteristics of inhalation therapy during invasive and noninvasive mechanical ventilation is described.
