Innovation Methodology in Glottodidactics

Abstract

The key to effective teaching is to arouse students' interest in the subject. In the age of technology, it becomes increasingly difficult. Every day we are bombarded with thousands of images and sounds coming from television, the Internet or mobile phones. Our senses get used to this wealth of experience and we can not imagine life without technology. Not surprisingly, the books, according to many people are obsolete. However, in most schools they are the main and sometimes the only tool in the hands of the teacher. Lessons in which students use only textbooks are not very interesting for young minds. And just to add some new elements to attract their attention. Preparing lessons based on other materials than the classic textbook does not have to be labor-intensive and require advanced computer skills – there are huge base materials to cater for students of all ages. This article is dedicated to traditional and modern methods of teaching English. You can not determine which of them are more effective. However, when we look at the two groups through the eyes of the modern student, innovative methods seem to be more interesting. The article also includes information concerning the means of teaching, which can be used in schools, language courses, as well as self-study English. Some of them are associated with the technology, others require only start the imagination and are possible to use in different age groups, as well as at various levels.
