Issues of wooden cable drums production technology

Abstract
Issues of wooden cable drums production technology. The article presents construction and production technology of cable reels made of wood. Two processpatch used in practice have been compared, indicating that when a large number of technological tasks are integrated in one automatic multifunctionalmachine, more favourable values in productivity, labour consumption and production efficiency are obtained. Moreover, despite higher efficiency, there is an insignificant increase in energy consumption during the technological processes used. However, this kind of machine needs better-qualified operators and higher outlays for service. The present article also identifies a series of additional research areas, concerning cable drums production, which may be the subject of further analysis.
