K- Shell Ionization of Chlorine and Argon due to Impact of Alpha Particles
Journal Title: Bulletin of Pure and Applied Sciences Sec. D – Physics - Year 2018, Vol 37, Issue 2
Abstract
In the present work, K-shell ionization cross-sections of Chlorine and Argon due to alpha impact have been calculated through the Binary Encounter Approximation model. The effects of Coulomb deflection of the projectile under the influence of target nucleusand increase in binding energy of the target electron because of presence of the projectile inside K- shell of the target have been incorporated. The cross-sections have been averaged over Hartree-Fock momentum distribution for the target electron. The calculated cross-sections have been found in satisfactory agreement with the available experimental values and other calculated results.

Resonant Features in Bilayer Nanoribbons in a Single Mode Regime with a Short Range Defect
We have studied resonant features in bilayer nanoribbon in a single mode regime with a short range defect. We have found the effect of edge disorder on the transport properties of a graphene nanoribbons and bilayer graph...
Signatures of next-nearest-neighbor (NNN) Antiferromagnetic Exchange Interaction on High-Tc Superconductivity Within t-t'-J-J' Model
The influence of the next-nearest-neighbor (NNN) antiferromagnetic interaction J' has been examined within t - t' - J - J' model in an exact technique. An 8-site square cluster is chosen as the representative of the syst...
Nonperturbative Contributions to the Massive Propagator in a Class of Strong Interactions
The nonperturbative contribution to the correlation of gluon field strengths is computed within the field theory limit of a string diagrammatic expansion
Photoionization Spectroscopy of Lithium, Sodium and Potassium Nanoparticles in a Beam for the Metallic Work Function
We have used a modified particle source with a temperature controlled nozzle to measure the temperature dependence of the work function for Lithium, Sodium and Potassium. The temperature dependence of the work function a...
