PERSPECTIVES OF THE BLACK SEA REGION DEVELOPMENT: THE POLITICAL ASPECT

Abstract
In the context of the global process there is a formation of geopolitical regions, among which a special place belong to the Black sea region, that is characterized by some factors: an important geopolitical location, crossing of the interests of the USA, EU, RF, Turkey and other actors, presence of the threats of different types. The Black Sea region for many centuries has been a stage for large-scale political events. In its present form, it started taking shape in the 90s of the previous century, and in the beginning of this century there are attempts of its conceptual understanding in political science. The ongoing process of fragmentation of the coastline of the Black Sea by newly emerging new states indicates ascending of the destructive tendencies in development of the region. However, the Black Sea region in recent years, was once again the focus of the world’s power centres. And this trend has a stable and long-term nature. The article deals with the trends and prospects of development of Ukraine in the Black Sea region in the 21 century because of the increasing role the Black Sea region in the global international system. The article covers the problem of forming a security of this region and the development of integration processes in it, paying special attention to increasing interest European Union in the Black Sea region. In the paper is examined the processes of transformation the Black Sea region, emphasized the important of the security imperatives in the process of formation of the partnership in the Black Sea region.
