Abstract
This article examines some of the significance of the public interest in the context of the process of decentralization of public administration. Particular attention was paid to the conceptual, structural and institutional aspects of administrative decentralization and public interest. The aspects regarding the pace of the process of administrative decentralization in the Republic of Moldova, from the training to the present day, the way of public interest in the process of transforming the Moldovan society towards the consolidation of democracy are dealt with.
