PROFESSIONAL QUALITIES FORMATION OF THE FUTURE EDUCATORS OF CHILDREN’S EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS

Abstract
Psychological studies of the professional activity allows us not only to substantiate the ways, methods and means of improving activities, but also to investigate fundamental phenomena of the psyche (the formation of the subject of labour, the development of abilities, the formation of professional personality, the mechanisms of regulation of functional states, manifestations of personal characteristics in working activities, etc.). The research of the formation of the dominant professional and personal qualities of future specialists-educators of children’s educational institutions has been substantiated in the article; the person’s structure and volitional qualities in the asrect of professional activitiy, person’s psychological features in the aspect of professional orientation as well as competence as a necessary condition for professionalism have been considered. We have also considered strong-willed regulation and self-mobilization as components of person’s professional qualities. The aim of the study was to examine the professional and personal qualities of future specialists – teachers of children's educational establishments alongside with the means of their improvement. The levels of the SUNPU’s (South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University named after K. D. Ushynsky) students’ volitional capacities, tolerance, persistence, empathy and social identity have been identified. On the basis of psycho-diagnostic study, it was determined that all indicators of the dominant professional and personal qualities of the majority of students demonstrated a middium and low levels. Therefore, there was elaborated and implemented a psychocorrectional program aimed at the improvement of the dominant professional and personal qualities of future specialists - educators of children's educational institutions. The complex of corrective actions included: - optimization of the staff work through HR consulting, - socio-psychological training (SPT), - individual psychological consulting, - autogenic training (АТ). The implementation of the psycho-corrective measures allowed us to assume that the levels of the students’ prevailing professional and personal qualities would rise in the process of formation of professional qualities, which was proved by means of the further controlling diagnosis. The reliability of the designated differences were determined by calculating Student's t-test. Analyzing the obtained results, it is worth paying attention to the fact that during the approbation time of the proposed system aimed at conducting corrective events certain changes had occurred within nearly all the diagnosed indicators. Thus, the expression index of the indicator «volitional capacity» on average has increased by 8.4 points, the indicator expression of "tolerance" on average has increased by 0.9 points, the indicator of «insistence» on average has increased by 0.9 points, the indicator «social empathy» has increased on average by 0.5 points. Thus, we can conclude that the dynamics of the improvement of the specialists’ (that one of the future educators’ of children's educational institutions) prevailing professional and personal qualities has been observed.
