PROPAGANDIST QUALITY OF HATÂYÎ’S POEMS

Abstract
Shah Ismail; in addition to being shah of the Safevî Government and sheikh of the Safeviyye dervish order, is a divan poet. His pen name is Hatâyî in poems. He lived in the end of the 15. century and in the beginning of the 16. century in Azerbaijan area. His poems’ themes are these: love for Allah – Muhammed – Ali, love for a darling, Ca’ferî sect, Kerbela event, Twelve imams, beliefs of the dervish order, unity of the existence. Shiâ ideology is laying the base for some Hatâyî’s poems. For this resason, Hatâyî’s poems have propagandist quality besides aesthetic quality. In this article, our aim is indicate to Hatâyî’s propagandist poems. We want to show that: How Hatâyî use his poems for his religious and political ideas?
