Abstract
The aim of this study is to describe everything that has been said throughout history about the Virgin of las Maravillas, the people who made her arrival in Cehegín possible and the local residents, who from the beginning felt a great admiration for her. I also show the course of events for the current Cehegín’s patron from her arrival in 1725 to her departure during the Civil War and her return after it.
