REPRODUCTION OF LEXICAL UNITS IN SLOGANS TRANSLATED FROM THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE

Abstract

The article is devoted to the study of the main strategies and techniques for the translation of advertising slogans with English in Ukrainian. The main ways of reproducing tokens in the translation of advertising slogans are considered – full compliance, incomplete conformity and lexical transformations. The necessity of the priority realization of the translation strategy of advertising slogans focused on the language of translation is substantiated. The complex transitions of the polysemic vocabulary and the manifestations of the speech game have been analyzed and the own variants of the translation of English-language slogans in Ukrainian have been proposed.
