Abstract
Nowadays triage is not only a legal obligation, but also an extremely useful tool to improve the functioning of emergency departments. Within triage, every employee has a well-defined task to complete that is extremely important for the success of the whole process of admitting and treating a patient. The aim of the article is to present the tasks and role of a nurse in the emergency medical services system in the field of triage at the emergency department.
