SMART CITY: A GEOGRAPHICAL PERSPECTIVE

Abstract

Smart cities are communities able to support green initiatives able to generate income and employment, and to allow citizens and businesses to benefit from more efficient services. In order to identify the realities that can represent a benchmark for other cities, the article provides an analysis of the actors that affect the birth and the development of smart city. The the article presents an overview of main smart cities of Europe.
