SURVEILLANCE ON COMMUNICABLE DISEASE –INFLUENZA

Abstract

For better control of communicable diseases, National Communicable Disease Surveillance Systems must be strengthened. Communicable diseases have always been as one of the main threats for human health. Influenza, or flu, is a respiratory illness caused by a virus. Flu is highly contagious and is normally spread by the coughs and sneezes of an infected person. This disease often spreads quickly and results in high mortalities. CDC’s are working actively in all states and territories in the and are tasked with leading and managing communicable diseases at these levels.
