The Inexplicit Words in the Qur’an and the Issue of Misinterpretation

Abstract

Principles and grammar help to understand a language. As the Holy Qur’an, which is the final and revealed message of almighty Alla'h is in Arabic so an exegetist of this holy book must be possessed full command on basic principles (Qawaid.i.Lughwiya'h Usuliya'h) framed by theologians (Usuliyeen) Mere dictionary’s explanation or human intellect is not sufficient to understand the true spirit of meaning of the versus. In this article, I have tried to throw light on importance of Ghair Wadahuddala'lah words for an exegetist, especially Mutashabehat is very important and sensitive topic in this regard. After explaining definitions & basic rules of Ghair Wadahuddala’lah, I have also tried to touch a few relevant deviated instances to prove their importance in interpretation of the Holy Qur’an.
