The use of manual therapy in treatment of temporomandibular dysfunctions

Abstract
Aim of the study: Based on review of literature, the paper presents a short history of the development of manual medicine and discusses its main fields of activity. Also discussed are the principle developers of this branch of medicine and current status of manual medicine in relation to the treatment of temporomandibular disorders Conclusion: It is essential for doctors to know the relationship between masticatory dysfuctions and the muscular system of the whole body and to be aware of how to supplement TMJ therapy with new physiotherapeutic methods.
