Tworzenie wizytówki instytucji Polskiej Bibliografii Naukowej - zadania bibliotek

Abstract
The act on the principles of science financing as amended, requires scientific-research institutions in Poland to transmit the data to the Integrated Information System for Science and Higher Education POL-on. Among the data collected by POL-on and concerning these institutions, there is also information about publishing achievements of the employees, which creates resources of the Polish Scholarly Bibliography (PBN). Institutions or authors send data on publications, which after being verified by authorized editors, are available at the portal http://pbn.nauka.gov.pl. This way a public image of the institution promoting achievements of individual authors and scientific-research institutions is created where, apart from elementary bibliographic data, full texts of publications will be deposited. The possibility to generate statistics and reports may be an important element of informative activities of scientific institutions. This paper is an attempt to look at a library as at an organizational unit, which possesses tools and experience in building an image within this respect Ustawa o zasadach finansowania nauki z późniejszymi zmianami nakłada na instytucje naukowe w Polsce obowiązek przekazywania danych do Zintegrowanego Systemu Informacji o Nauce i Szkolnictwie Wyższym POL-on. Wśród gromadzonych przez POL-on danych o jednostkach znajdują się także informacje o dorobku publikacyjnym pracowników, które tworzą zasób Polskiej Bibliografii Naukowej (PBN). Instytucje lub autorzy przesyłają informacje o powstałych publikacjach, które po weryfikacji przez upoważnionych redaktorów są udostępniane na portalu http://pbn.nauka.gov.pl. W ten sposób powstaje publiczna wizytówka instytucji promująca osiągnięcia poszczególnych autorów i jednostek naukowych, gdzie oprócz podstawowych danych bibliograficznych będzie można zdeponować pełne teksty publikacji. Możliwość generowania statystyk i raportów może być ważnym elementem działań informacyjnych instytucji nauki. Referat jest próbą spojrzenia na bibliotekę jako jednostkę organizacyjną, która posiada narzędzia i doświadczenie w budowaniu wizerunku w tym zakresie.
