140 State Feedback Controller Design of an Active Suspension System for Vehicles Using Pole Placement Technique Authors: Andrea Wéber, Miklós Kuczmann Year: 2019, Volume: 12, Number: 3 Acta Technica Jaurinensis 2019/Sep/29 (0 downloads) Abstract The paper presents a method for designing a state feedback controller of an active suspension system of a quarter car model. This is a survey based on a specific example. The designed controller of the active suspension system improves the driving control, safety and stability, because during the ride, the periodic swinging motion generated by the road irregularities on wheels can be decreased. This periodic motion damages the driving comfort, and may cause traffic accidents. The state feedback controller is designed to stand road induced displacements. Computer simulations of the designed controller have been performed in the frame of Scilab and XCos. Keywords: pole placement, state feedback, active suspension system

137 Sensitivity Study of a Nonlinear Semi-Active Suspension System Authors: Flóra Hajdu Year: 2019, Volume: 12, Number: 3 Acta Technica Jaurinensis 2019/Sep/29 (0 downloads) Abstract In this paper the OAT (one-at-a-time) sensitivity analysis of a nonlinear semi-active suspension system is carried out with numerical simulation. A specific property of the system is chosen for measure sensitivity, which can be calculated with numerical simulations easily. Both the sensitivity of the system and the input parameters were examined. The degree of sensitivity was measured with a sensitivity index and based on it sensitivity Fuzzy-sets were established. A simple method to reduce sensitivity of a certain parameter is also proposed. Keywords: sensitivity analysis, numerical simulation, nonlinear system modelling
143 Review of Finite Element Vehicle Interior Acoustic Simulations Including Porous Materials Authors: János Kun, Daniel Feszty Year: 2019, Volume: 12, Number: 3 Acta Technica Jaurinensis 2019/Sep/29 (0 downloads) Abstract Recent trends in vehicle engineering require manufacturers to develop products with highly refined noise, vibration and harshness levels. The use of trim elements, which can be described as Poroelastic materials (PEM), are key to achieve quiet interiors. Finite Element Methods (FEM) provide established solutions to simple acoustic problems. However, the inclusion of poroelastic materials, especially at higher frequencies, proves to be a difficult issue to overcome. The goal of this paper was to summarize the state-of-the-art solutions to acoustic challenges involving FEM-PEM simulation methods. This involves investigation of measurement and simulation campaigns both on industrial and fundamental academic research levels. 132 Investigation of Used Engine Oil Lubricating Performance Through Oil Analysis and Friction and Wear Measurements Authors: András Nagy, Jan Knaup, Ibolya Zsoldos Year: 2019, Volume: 12, Number: 3 Acta Technica Jaurinensis 2019/Sep/29 (0 downloads) Abstract Engine oil degradation during long-term engine operation is a well-researched topic, however, the effect of biofuels and synthetic compounds is not fully understood. In order to characterise novel fuel related phenomena in an engine a basis of studies should be established with state-of-the-art engines and conventional fuels and lubricants. This study aims at describing the behaviour of used engine oils throughout their service life based on friction and wear measurements with oil samples from three identical light-duty direct injection supercharged diesel engines. Oil samples were taken from each engine every 50 hours between oil changes to determine physical properties and chemical composition. Friction and wear measurements were conducted on a high-frequency reciprocating rig. The results show strong correlation between oil service life and boron content, as well as acid number and base number. A similar correlation between coefficient of friction with used samples and boron content as well as soot content was observed. A simple model based on a polynomial fitting function was proposed to predict friction and wear from boron content, total acid number and total base number. Keywords: engine oil degradation, friction, wear, lubrication
146 Challenges of Digital Twin System Authors: Cristina Monsone, János Jósvai Year: 2019, Volume: 12, Number: 3 Acta Technica Jaurinensis 2019/Sep/29 (0 downloads) Abstract Today’s manufacturing and assembly systems have to be flexible to adapt quickly to an increasing number and variety of products. The Industry 4.0 conceptualization has several potentials, i.e. flexibility in business and manufacturing processes, where the intelligent and interconnected systems, in particular the Cyber-Physical Production System (CPPS), play a vital role in the whole lifecycle of eco-designed products. In particular, the CPPS represents a suitable way for manufacturers that want to involve their customers, delivering instructions to machines about their specific orders and follow its progress along the production line, in an inversion of normal manufacturing. The development of Info Communication Technologies (ICT) and Manufacturing Science and Technology (MST) enables the innovation of Cyber-Physical Production Systems. However, there are still important challenges that need to be addressed in particular at technological and data analysis level with the implementation of Deep Learning analysis. 152 Direct Instantaneous Torque Control of the Switched Reluctance Motor for Electric Vehicles Applications Using Fuzzy Logic Control Authors: Reyad Abdel-Fadil, László Számel Year: 2019, Volume: 12, Number: 2 Acta Technica Jaurinensis 2019/Sep/29 (0 downloads) Abstract This paper presents direct torque control of Switched Reluctance Motor (SRM) using Fuzzy Logic Control (FLC) for electric vehicles applications. The PD-FLC is proposed for SRM torque control, to keep the torque of the motor shaft in tracking the reference torque with high accuracy. With the help of FLC techniques, the SRM torque ripples can be reduced compared to traditional control techniques. In this study, the nonlinear 6/4 SRM model is simulated with the symmetrical converter, and the converter controller is programmed using C-language. The proposed method is tested at different load and variable speed conditions, and the obtained results confirm that the FLC direct torque control can be used for torque control to improve the motor performance and reduce the torque ripples compared to other techniques such as direct instantaneous torque control. 140 Selection of Industrial Packaging System in Closed-loop Automotive Supply Chains Authors: Kata Vöröskői, Péter Böröcz Year: 2019, Volume: 12, Number: 2 Acta Technica Jaurinensis 2019/Sep/29 (0 downloads) Abstract The corporate decisions in the field of packaging aim to find and determine the optimal packaging functions and expenses at the same time. One-way packaging is also used in the practice, but returnable packaging is more common in the outbound flow of the automotive engine manufacturer companies. In addition, it can happen that packaging devices originally designed for one way are used multiple times, because the technical condition of the packaging ensures the repeated usage and the other way around. Transport distance is an important aspect while choosing the right packaging system, but according to our investigation the ratio between the purchasing cost of a new device and the cost of backwards transportation should also influence this decision. Therefore, the scope of this paper is to give a model of the cost structure of returnable industrial packaging operating in a closed loop system. The total cost will be especially determined by the return ratio, cost of return transport and planned number of uses. Keywords: returnable packaging, closed-loop, packaging cost
141 Analysation of the Effect of the Contact Properties on Soil’s Penetration Resistance in Discrete Element Simulations Authors: Krisztian Kotrocz, György Kerényi Year: 2019, Volume: 12, Number: 2 Acta Technica Jaurinensis 2019/Sep/29 (0 downloads) Abstract Cone penetration in-situ tests are commonly used to measure the cone index of the soils. This measurement process can be modelled very well with Discrete Element Method (DEM) if the parameters of the correct contact model are defined properly. In this paper the Hertz-Mindlin with bonding contact model are used and the effect of the properties of this contact model on soil’s penetration resistance is investigated. Our aim was to determine those contact parameters which play important role in the penetration process, thus are necessary to take into account while calibrating the discrete element soil model to the results of real penetration tests. 145 Comparative Analysis of Axlebox Accelerations in Correlation with Track Geometry Irregularities Authors: Csaba Ágh Year: 2019, Volume: 12, Number: 2 Acta Technica Jaurinensis 2019/Sep/29 (0 downloads) Abstract Stochastic track irregularities influence additional dynamic forces developed in the vehicle-track interaction that lead to faster deterioration of track. For economical track maintenance it is important to understand the relationship between the irregularities recorded by conventional track geometry measuring car and the resulting dynamic vehicle responses. This paper focuses on the correlation between lateral and vertical axlebox accelerations and differently processed track geometry parameters based on a real measurement run on straight track. Decolouring of chord-offset measurement results was performed and derivatives of track geometry parameters were calculated for comparison. Those track geometry parameters have been selected which provide the most accurate information about the recorded wheelset accelerations caused by track geometry irregularities, e.g. second order derivative of cross level. 141 Comparison of Logistics Performance Measurement Tools Authors: Diána Strommer, Péter Földesi Year: 2019, Volume: 12, Number: 1 Acta Technica Jaurinensis 2019/Sep/29 (0 downloads) Abstract In today’s word the role of logistics is getting more important in the operation of enterprises. The competition is big, and cost is one of the most important factors. Logistics is a field which can highly support the reduction of the costs. From the other perspective – the customer satisfaction – logistics also has the role of a supportive function. To get the most out of these two big pillars logistics operation needs to be monitored and measured to give room for further improvement. Currently several methods are available for performance measurement. In this article we present comparison of four of the mainly used performance measurement tools. 141 Railroad Ballast Particle Breakage with Unique Laboratory Test Method Authors: Szabolcs Fischer, Erika Juhász Year: 2019, Volume: 12, Number: 1 Acta Technica Jaurinensis 2019/Sep/29 (0 downloads) Abstract This paper demonstrates the results in the research topic of the railway ballast particles’ breakage test with unique laboratory test. The most railway lines in the world have so called traditional superstructure (ballasted tracks). In the past few years there were a lot of railway rehabilitation projects in Hungary, as well as abroad. Nowadays cannot be expected that there is enough quantity of railway ballast in adequate quality, because of the modifications and restrictions in the related regulations in Hungary since 2010. In Hungary there are only a few quarries which are able to ensure adequate railway ballast material for construction and maintenance projects for speed values between 120 and 160 km/h. This may cause supply and quality risk in production of railway ballast. The authors’ research’s main goal is to be able to simulate the stress-strain effect of ballast particles in real and objective way in laboratory conditions as well as in discrete element modelling. 126 Power Semiconductor Trends in Electric Drive Systems Authors: Miklos Csizmadia Year: 2019, Volume: 12, Number: 1 Acta Technica Jaurinensis 2019/Sep/29 (0 downloads) Abstract Nowadays lots of big brands (like Tesla, Nissan, Audi etc.) deal with electric cars and electric drive systems. The first brand deals with only electric drive systems and everyone know this name. These cars are more environmentally friendly, because those operate only with electric energy (this article does not deal with the source of electric energy). The design of electric drive systems is very difficult and complicated task: the electric, thermal and mechanical parameters are very important during the design process. The task is given: it must be designed to reach the most efficient drive system with a low cost. This article deals with the current semiconductor trends and properties, investigates the current electric car drive systems (semiconductor design perspective) and deals with the future trends.
