Abstract

Nowadays, security for any data is of major concern. Steganography is the practice of concealing messages or information within other non-secret text or data. Reversible data hiding .is used to embed secret message into a cover image by slightly modifying its pixel values. Embedded message and the cover image are completely recovered from the marked content. It supports information hiding with the lossless compressibility of natural images. In this article explore the image retrieval information along with data hiding methods

Abstract

Self-help groups are small informal association of the poor created at the grass root level for the purpose of enabling members to reap economic benefits out of mutual help and joint responsibility. Self-help groups are formed voluntarily by the rural and urban poor to save and contribute to a common fund to be lent to its members as per group decision and for working together for social and economic uplift of their families and community. India is the home to large number of indigenous people, who are still untouched by the lifestyle of the modern world. With more than 84.4 million, India has the largest population of the tribalpeople in the world. There are six primitive tribes in Nilgiris District. Namely Thodas, Kurumbas, kottas, Irular, kattunaickas and paniyans. The economic statuses of these tribes are in developing stage through entrepreneurial activities with the support of SHGs. All these tribal people have their own rich culture, tradition, language and lifestyle. Tribes in Nilgiris are skilled in producing various ethnic as well as indigenous product which helps the tribes to become economically stronger to some extent. There is always a demand for tribal handloom and handicrafts, the SHGs helps the tribal people right from making of the product to marketing of the product. The contribution of SHGs for the economic upliftment of tribal society is appreciable.

Abstract

The scope of this section is to give a common outline to some of the information related to Semantic web which adopts RDF based deductions that has wide range of applications that can be linked together to achieve machine processing terminology to global scale. Here the RDF schema which is based on trust and proof theory that provides in a major role on the Semantic Web based machine processing , and to adopt the formal foundations of those languages. Web semantic RDF Schema will be the key players of the information that we will want to explore and migrate for machine learning. It also concentrates on machine accessible information which can be highly exploited by ontology based deductions. To motivate the process RDF and XML have been adopted as the basis for information integration.

Abstract

Assessing the cost-benefit tradeoff of a network intrusion detection system requires an understanding of the effectiveness of the system and the cost of its employment. In this paper, we propose a cost-benefit analysis methodology and build a cost model based on an investigation of the cost factors and categories of various intrusions. The model can be used to quantitatively and qualitatively calculate the cost of detecting and responding to an intrusion, and provide necessary advice for determining the tradeoff between costs and benefits.

Abstract

This paper presents a voltage and frequency controller (VFCs) for induction generator for standalone wind energy conversion systems. In wind turbine-driven isolated asynchronous generator, magnitude and frequency of the generated voltage vary because of varying consumer loads and wide fluctuation in wind speed. The performance of the controller is analyzed under different electrical (varying consumer loads) and mechanical dynamic conditions (varying wind speed) using MATLAB software.

Abstract

Today, the resolution is auxiliary generators, frequently run on filthy fuels which turn out towering emissions of CO2 and supplementary gases. In addition, huge reserves must recurrently be made in the power sector to manage with intensifying crest demand, though peaks are only 5% of the complete twelve-monthly demand. There’s an enhanced way. The low-energy HVAC system which adds thermal energy storage into new building structures which has low energy. The energy storage space technology added to concrete floor slabs can translate to 20-60% less energy for heating and cooling, and a 75-90% reduction in peak cooling loads. This unique method of using the concrete floor slabs with their hollow centers make then work as minuscule heat exchangers, warming or cooling air before it enters rooms.

Abstract

The medical image processing and analysis methods have been used to help physicians to make important medical decision through physician-computer interaction. Intelligent or model-based quantitative medical image analysis approaches have been explored for computer-aided diagnosis to improve the sensitivity and specificity of radiological tests involving medical images. A critical step in improving accuracy of interpretation of medical images by a computer aided diagnostic system is to focus on hybrid (both image processing and data mining) techniques. The main objective this work is to develop an interactive system for analyzing medical images (such as images MRI, PET, SPECT) by using hybrid methods.

Abstract

The extraction of information from huge amount of data set is called data mining. Classification and prediction are two forms of data analysis that can be used to extract models describing important data classes or to predict future data trends. Classification predicts categorical labels. Weka is a collection of machine learning algorithms for data mining tasks. The algorithms can either be applied directly to a dataset or called from your own Java code. Weka means Waikato Environment for Knowledge Analysis (WEKA). It is introduced by university of New Zealand and it has capacity to convert comma separated values file to relational table format. This research implementing the classification concept using Weka opens source using for WINE-QUALITY dataset.

Women's Leadership in India through the Ages

Women's Leadership in India through the Ages

Abstract

The evil customs like sati, devadasi, sex-selective abortion etc. were abolished long ago in India. However, the practices like, infanticide, child marriage, dowry killings etc. still plagues many parts of this sub-continent. Fortunately, 20th century had ushered India into a modern era. The new age had acted very constructively against religious orthodoxy, which has been against women in India over many years. A series of progressive legislation has been put in place post independence, which brought legal status of women in India absolutely at par with men. It is also not true that in Indian history, art and literature, women were always portrayed in a docile and submissive manner. To the contrary men emerged in Indian history often as meteors from time to time and were eulogized as rulers, scholars, religious leaders, brave and mighty as well. Razia Sultan, the only female ruler of Delhi Sultanate (1236 – 1240 A. D.) and Rani Laxmi Bai of Jhansi 1857 A. D. are the two iconic examples of martial women who during their own time had stirred popular imagination at two different eras of Indian history with their own courage, velour and statesmanship. In Indian traditional lore, female deities like Durga and Kali are often depicted capable of super-human righteous wrath, which can destroy the world. The Goddesses like Lakshmi, Saraswati and host of other female deities are worshiped by Hindu females as well as males alike for their supernatural powers of wealth, knowledge and bravery.

Abstract

This paper presents a formulation for the optimum Distributed Generator (DG) placement which considers minimization of the line loss, a technical factor, and minimization of installation and maintenance cost, an economical factor. The problem is configured as a constrained optimization problem, where the optimal number of DGs, along with their sizes and bus locations, are simultaneously obtained. This problem has been solved using Genetic Algorithm(GA), a traditionally popular stochastic optimization algorithm. A 33-bus radial distribution system is considered as the case study where the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm is demonstrated.
