Abstract

The research entitled The Study of the Development of Patience of Children 4-5 Years through Queuing Culture at Bina Kasih Terpadu Kindergarten, Rumah Sumbul Village, Sibolangit District, Deli Serdang Regency, North Sumatra Province, aims to explore the results of queuing cultural habituation for Kindergarten A students in terms of development. patience. This type of research is field research (field research) using qualitative descriptive methods, which try to reveal the facts as they are. Qualitative research is an indepth study. Field research steps were carried out using descriptive data in the form of written and spoken words, observations of behavior and phenomena. Qualitative research emphasizes the meaning, reasoning, and definition of certain situations in certain contexts. Researching everyday life. The study was conducted on 9 children. From observations, it appears that children push each other and overtake when getting off the school bus, push friends when shaking hands with the teacher, place shoes carelessly on the shelf when entering class, run while washing their hands and run around on the bus when they come home from school. Therefore, it is interesting to study the development of patience for children aged 4-5 years through the habit of queuing. Data were collected through observation, interviews and documentation. The habit of queuing starts at 08:00 WIB when the children get off the bus, at 08:30 WIB when entering class, at 10:30 WIB when washing their hands and at 11:00 WIB when the children take the bus back home. The results showed that through habituation queuing was able to develop patience in Bina Kasih Terpadu Kindergarten children group A. The conclusion was that children's patience could be developed through habituation. In this case it is the cultural habituation of queuing.

Abstract

Real leadership begins with the person of a leader with a servant's heart, then is revealed to be outside serving others. It is Jesus who is a model role model for Christian leaders, so that Christian leaders are given the ability by God to bring about changes as God wants. Christian leaders are able to bring change for the better, more useful to God and others, because Christian leaders are agents of change in this Melenial era, who bring generations to understand new literacy and are not technology blind. This writing uses a literature research method with a descriptive qualitative approach, so that it can describe Christian leaders, by dividing the understanding of leaders specifically in Christian leadership. So that they can qualify Christian leaders and make leadership an agent of change in the ways and steps that Christian leaders take to become agents of change. Christian leadership can be a reference for advancing the millennial generation and being a role model through agents of change who can bring technology to become a necessity today

Abstract

This research was conducted with a literature study that utilizes concepts, theories, and explanations from primary sources in books, journal papers, and other academic sources. The analysis presented descriptively to explore the principle of "good-relationship," a pattern of relationships created in leadership. The deepening of guides focuses on the efforts that need to be developed by a leader in influencing and functioning optimally for his followers to move together to achieve organizational goals. It can be concluded that transformative leadership is leadership that develops aspects of good-relationship through four main components, namely: leaders who get rid of the practice of fear, leaders who communicate effectively, leaders who are open or transparent, and leaders who are empathetic and listening. All of these components provide strong support for the formation of good-relationship patterns in any organization. Even though it can get affective commitment among followers, it was also found that these four components are an essential part of Christian leadership practice.

Abstract

Christian leadership is an important thing that must be prepared properly. Christian values must be a value that differentiates them from other leadership values. A Christian leader is not just an ordinary leadership role. Christian leaders must also be able to prepare a leadership successor. In the leadership of Imam Eli, Samuel was the successor to the leadership chosen by God. Samuel was a stranger to Imam Eli, but God prepared Samuel to be the successor of Imam Eli's leadership. This study is a qualitative study using the literature study method. This study examines the attitudes and roles of Elkanah and Hannah as parents in Samuel's childhood life. The results obtained are: First, parents who are obedient and loyal to God have an important role in the early stages of forming a Christian leader. Second, parents must take care and must prepare each child properly in order to be able to serve God and to become a Christian leader. After caring for and preparing a child, parents must also give consent for their child to serve God. Christian leadership is not formed in an instant way, but is formed when prospective Christian leaders are young.

Abstract

The multi-generational workplace is a global phenomenon emerges today. In the various organizations worldwide there will be four to five generations working in the same workfore and at the same time. Nazarene Church in Indonesia is now dealing with this phenomenon. Leadership managment related to inter-generational leadership succession strategy has become an insist issue to elaborate. The objectives of this research are to find data of the diversity of the generation in the denomination and to find strategy to tackle the intergerational leadership succession. This research is conducted by collecting the data from the field and also undergoing literature review to examine the previous theories and reseach foundings related to the topic. The research found that the denomination had clergy from four different generations who are ministering together side by side at the same time. The findings also indicate the urgency of a leadership transition inter generations in this church. Therefore, the author proposes some recomendations as the intergenerational leadership transition strategy, namely: mentoring, strengthened intergenerational leadership, intentional leadership development programs, and intergenerational leadership collaboration.

Abstract

The 21st century brings many changes that have never been in the previous century. Technology, takes a big enough role for human life. However, these advance are also accompanied by challenges that are unique to the 21st century. This, also has a major impact on Christian Education, which in the end is faced with the threat of climate change, the danger of nuclear war or the other acts of violence, and also the lack of acces to education. Using the literary research method, this article will explore several written source, such as the Bible, books, and jurnals that discus the life of Jesus and the legacy of Christian theology in the addressing these three challenges whether they are directly related to these issues or use creative interpetation to look for pararells to the problem. In the end, Christian education, with an emphasis on the family, offers three important steps: reaching out and opening up, compassion, and caring for the environment, to overcome these three problems.

Abstract

This article uses a qualitative method with a literature studi approach that discusses the example of Jesus for Christian teachers based on the Gospel of Matthew. A Christian teacher has a responsibility in teaching. The example of Jesus is the basis for the Christian teacher’s life in teaching. This article aims to look at how Jesus taught and set the example in the Gospel of Matthew and how it applies to Christian teacher today. The results of this study indicate that Jesus lived His teachings and became an example or pattern for His disciples, so that this study is expected to become a basis for every Christian teacher today to love the life of Jesus Christ and make Jesus the main principle of exemplary.

Abstract

The development of education displayed by the rapid growth in science and technology has become a tremendous blessing and benefit for humans and the universe. However, this is not directly proportional to the attitudes, emotions and dispositions of humans who are held hostage in various evil behaviors that harm fellow humans and the universe. This is realized because there is an imbalance between education which only emphasizes wisdom or controls the human brain, but is not accompanied by the formation of spirituality, character building and life experiences that are consistent with what is learned rationally. Awareness of the significance and urgency of character education in Indonesia, this book was born to revive the importance of the world and nuances of education that touch humans as a whole with the concept of moral, moral attitude, and moral behavior in human self. Thus, it will stimulate the world of education to pay attention to human transformation holistically.

Abstract

Perkembangan spiritual anak-anak Future Center berusia 7-9 tahun di Buluh Awar masih belum berkembang dengan baik, karena beberapa faktor antara lingkungan keluarga dan layanan guru Future Center yang masih monoton. Pembelajaran yang kurang menarik terutama ketika melakukan kegiatan pengembangan spiritual,seperti guru hanya bercerita dan tidak menggunakan alat peraga. Sehingga penelitian ini berjudul "Manfaat menggunakan Alkitab bergambar pada perkembangan spiritual anak-anak Future Center berusia 7-9 tahun di Buluh Awar". Dengan rumusan masalahnya: Bagaimana cara menggunakan , Bagaimana perkembangan spiritual anak-anak Future Center, dan apakah manfaat menggunakan Alkitab bergambar bagi perkembangan rohani anak-anak masa future center di Buluh Awar? Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian kualitatif dengan mengumpulkan data melalui observasi dan wawancara. Dari hasil pengamatan dan wawancara, setelah penggunaan Alkitab bergambar, Spiritualitas anak dapat berkembang dengan baik lewat penerapan penggunaan Alkitab bergambar, dapat diperoleh melalui pengamatan dengan kriteria: kategori tidak berkembang 0 , cukup berkembang 1 anak , berkembang 6 anak termasuk dan 10 kategori anak-anak yang sangat berkembang. Hasil dari wawancara tentang manfaat penggunaan Alkitab bergambar untuk perkembangan spiritual anak-anak di Future Center berusia 7-9 tahun di Buluh Awar menemukan bahwa lebih mudah bagi anak-anak untuk membaca dan memahami Firman Tuhan, belajar manfaat dari Alkitab bergambar untuk perkembangan spiritual, tidak monoton, serta spiritualitas yang berkembang mempengaruhi nilai karakter dari anak-anak. Dari pencapaian ini menunjukkan bahwa hasil akhir penelitian tentang manfaat penggunaan Alkitab bergambar terhadap kerohanian anak usia yaitu anak mampu memiliki pengaruh positif terhadap perkembangan spiritual anak.

Abstract

Studi ini merupakan Kajian Biblika Mengenai Pendidikan Anak dan Hakikat Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini. Pengkajian Alkitab amat penting karena Alkitab menyatakan bahwaanak-anak adalah subyek pelayanan dan masa yang menentukan dalam pengenalan akan Tuhan dan pertumbuhan iman menuju masa dewasa. Pada hakekatnya dalam dunia pendidikan, kategori anak usia dini adalah masa usia emas (golden age) untuk menanamkan nilai-nilai rohani dan pembentukan karakter serta memperkenalkan mereka dengan pengetahuan dan keterampilan dengan sederhana. Adapun penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode deskriptif yang dibangun dari penelitian literatur, dalam hal ini literature mengenai kajian Alkitab dan kajian teoritis yang berkaitan dengan pendidikan anak usia dini. Hasil studi memperlihatkan bahwa pendekatan proses pembelajaran yang relevan kepada anak usia dini tidak sekedar mengikuti teori-teori pembelajaran sekuler yang cenderung menekankan pengetahuan dan ketrampilans eorang guru/pendidik, kurikulum dan bahan pelajaran atau sarana yang canggih sertafasilitas belajar yang memadai melainkan penting sekaliadanya dasar-dasar FirmanTuhan (Alkitab) yang menjadi pedoman utama. Dengan demikian, satuan PAUD dan para guru dapat mempertimbangkan untuk menggunakan prinsip dan metode yang relevan dengan memberikan penekanan bahwa anak-anak usia dini sebagai subyek pendidikan yang perlu diberikan rangsangan untuk menolong mereka bertumbuh dengan utuh (holistic) baik rohani, karakter, pengetahuan dan keterampilan dalam perspektif Kristen.

Abstract

Independence is the attitude of life needed for the progress of a nation. An independent human being is able to mature to face the challenges of the times. Independence cannot happen instantly, it needs to be familiarized. The right time for habituation is early age. Research on the application of Scaffolding learning techniques as an effort to increase the learning independence of children aged 5-6 years, using the Classroom Action Research methodology conducted at Kadasituru Integrated Christian Kindergarten. The research model used is the Kurt Lewin model. Four stages are carried out: planning, implementing, observing and reflecting. The result is a significant increase in the improvement of children's learning independence. Initial observation of the level of independence of 17 research subjects the average score was 6.61% in the category of Not Developing (BB). After taking action in four cycles, children's learning independence significantly increased the average score of 98.52% to meet the criteria of Very Good Development (BSB).

Abstract

Paper shows the social contribution of urban Education by examining the Salatiga Jungle School. By reading the literatures on transformative learning for adults, empirical data, it is examining how theological seminary performing the aspects and social character in learning process and outcomes. Paper contribution is enlarging the transformative theory into progressive education that has benefits. The practical contribution is presenting the praxis urban education in the paradox of Central Java, the dilemma of modernization and urbanization of the Indonesian colonies city which increases the education competition and segregation city life.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to obtain a description of the perception of leadership and mentoring influences received by the middle-level leaders of PESAT in carrying out service tasks. This study uses a survey method by giving questionnaires to middle-level PESAT foundation leaders from various regions in Indonesia with a sample of 60 randomly determined people. The results show that most of the middle-level leaders of PESAT have a perception of the excellent and good category of leadership and mentoring they received from their leaders and mentors. Most of them have very good dan good motivation in carrying out their duties and stated that the influences their motivation in carrying out their duties

Abstract

This research examines the learning model used by Jesus when preaching or teaching specifically found in Matthew 7: 24-29. There are several methods that Jesus uses in this section, namely: the lecture method, the method of storytelling and the method of parable. These methods were quite successful in Jesus' teaching as evidenced by the large number of followers who were amazed at him. In this study, we want to find out how the influence of the application of the method Jesus used on student learning outcomes. The method used in this study is a quantitative method with survey techniques. The research population was all of the ninth grade students in SMP Negeri 12 Kota Kupang with a total sample of 30 students. Data analysis was performed using statistical techniques with data analysis processes namely Descriptive Analysis, Test Requirements Analysis and Hypothesis Test. The results showed that the application of the Learning Method used by Jesus in Matthew 7: 24-29 had an effect on student learning outcomes at SMP Negeri 12 Kota Kupang by 40%.
