UPFC Based Wind Energy Efficient System
Journal Title: International Journal for Research in Applied Science and Engineering Technology (IJRASET) - Year 2015, Vol 3, Issue 12
Abstract
The rapid growth of wind power systems worldwide will likely see the integration of large wind farms with electrical network that are series compensated stable transmission of bulk power. Using Flexible AC Transmission System (FACTS) devices are considered in order to maintain stability and provide the reactive power requirement of the grid and transfer the maximum power extracted from wind turbine to consumers. This paper presents the complete modeling and realtime simulation of wind turbine driven doubly-fed induction generator (DFIG) which feeds ac power to the utility grid.

Key Engineering of Electrical Discharge Machining: A Review
EDM is one of the most extensively used non-conventional material removal processes. Both electrode (tool) and work piece must be electrically conductive. The spark occurs in a gap filled with dielectric solution betwee...
Strength Performance of High Strength Concrete Using Slag Sand and Quarry Sand
Cement is the basic material required for any construction. It acts as a binding agent in concrete. It is the second most consumed product in the world and India is 2nd largest consumer of cement after china. But nowada...
Performance of Various Texture Model for Face Recognition
In this paper, a texture pattern and retrieval algorithm using Local Binary pattern (LBP) and Local Directional Pattern for content-based image retrieval (CBIR). This proposed pattern encodes the relationship between th...
Drainage Evaluation of Doddhalla Sub-basin, Karnataka, India Using GIS
Morphometric analysis of Doddhalla Sub-basin, which is a tributary of River Malaprabha, Karnataka, India was carried out to study its drainage network and characterictics. Sub-basin is spread over an area of 293 km2 wit...
A review on concentrator Photovoltaic system
A concentrating photovoltaic (CPV) system converts light energy into electrical energy in the same way that conventional photovoltaic technology does. There are two main types of concentrating optical systems in use tod...
