Abstract

The Nahj al-Balagha is a comprehensive book, composed of a variety of words of wisdom, guidances, eloquent sayings & celestial passages, and it can be stated without any exaggeration that the Nahj al-Balagha is a man-making and era-building book. Imam Ali (PBUH) has noted unnecessary curiosity in religious affairs, deviation, dispute, and disunity as the foundations of blasphemy in the 31st saying of the Nahj al-Balagha. Because unnecessary curiosity in religious affairs based on deviation from the righteous path or in search of void or such knowledge that will never be completely comprehendible by human intellect is based in blasphemy and maliciousness and deviation, dispute, and disunity which are based on strife and crookedness and intrigue. They certainly guide human beings to lose faith in God Almighty and deviate from the righteous path. In this paper, in addition to a brief acquaintance with Nahjolbalagha and the meanings of blasphemy, it is tried to study the issue of the roots of blasphemy in saying 31 of Nahjolbalagha briefly.
