Hybrid Techniques and Methods for Analysis of Medical Images

Abstract

The medical image processing and analysis methods have been used to help physicians to make important medical decision through physician-computer interaction. Intelligent or model-based quantitative medical image analysis approaches have been explored for computer-aided diagnosis to improve the sensitivity and specificity of radiological tests involving medical images. A critical step in improving accuracy of interpretation of medical images by a computer aided diagnostic system is to focus on hybrid (both image processing and data mining) techniques. The main objective this work is to develop an interactive system for analyzing medical images (such as images MRI, PET, SPECT) by using hybrid methods.
