Journal Title: Wschodni Rocznik Humanistyczny - Year 2016, Vol 0, Issue

Abstract

This article is a rough drawing that at the same time is introducing newly found published and non-published biographical details about Jakow, the son of Michail Boborykin who died on 15th October, 1629. Boborykin was a man typical for the Time of Troubles period but in the end, he turned out to be the most popular and the most distinctive member of his family. He made a staggering career from a provincial nobleman to a Second in line Judge (org. в Prikaz Pomyestnyi). The starting point of this career was the swift move from serving the Swedes to serving the new Tsar who has just assumed power in Moscow.
