MANEJO DE CONDUCTA DE LOS NIÑOS DURANTE LA ATENCIÓN DENTAL

Abstract

The present research work has as main objective to compare the methods for the management of the behavior of children in dental care, taking as reference the scientific evidence available in the literature. This study is narrative. The investigation of this information was based on data from PubMed / Medline, EBSCO, Scielo and google scholar, found in the most recognized scientific journals at international level. According to the results obtained, 30 articles were found in total, which met the selection criteria of our study where 13 referred to the distraction, 8 that described the behavior, 9 articles were related to the child's anxiety. It is concluded that the audiovisual distraction allows the child to be distracted, both auditory and visual, from the dental environment, with which the levels of anxiety in the child are significantly minimized at the time of the procedure, allowing to reduce the time during the treatment process and therefore an acceptance of the treatment on the part of the child taking advantage that the infants of the 21st century live a world of fantasy, game and technology.
