90th Anniversary of Rauf Magomedovich Munchaev

Abstract
The article is dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the outstanding Russian archaeologist, Doctor of Historical Sciences, corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Sciences R.M. Munchaev. His name is widely known in Russia and abroad due to his long-term fruitful research work in the field of archeology of the Chalcolithic and the Bronze Age of the Caucasus and Mesopotamia, and the origins of Middle Eastern agricultural civilization. In 1968–1991 R.M. Munchaev worked as Deputy Director for Scientific Research, and in 1991–2003 - as Director of the Institute of Archeology of the USSR Academy of Sciences / Russian Academy of Sciences.
