SİVAS İL MERKEZİNDE BULUNAN İLKÖĞRETİM ÇAĞINDAKİ ÇOCUKLARIN AĞIZ DİŞ SAĞLIĞI DURUMU VE ALIŞKANLIKLARININ BELİRLENMESİ

Abstract
Bu çalışmanın amacı, ilköğretim çağındaki çocukların ağız sağlığı durumu ve alışkanlıklarının belirlenmesi ve bunun bazı sosyoekonomik özelliklerle ilişkisini saptamaktır. Araştırma Sivas il merkezi sınırları içinde bulunan; Alparslan, Cumhuriyet, Karşıyaka, Özel Mahir Sevim Özduman ve Sirer İlköğretim okullarına devam etmekte olan 800 kız ve 800 erkek olmak üzere toplamda 1600 öğrenciye uygulanmış; rastgele örneklem yöntemiyle veriler 20 Mart 2006- 31 Mart 2006 tarihleri arasında toplanmıştır Verilerimiz bilgisayar ortamına aktarıldıktan sonra istatistiksel analizlerinin değerlendirilmesi SPSS 13.0 programında yapılmıştır.. Verilerin analizinde ki-kare testi kullanılmış, p< 0.05 değerleri anlamlı kabul edilmiştir. Öğrencilerin 1050’sinde (%65,6) en az bir diş çürüğü bulunurken, 340’ında (%21,3) diş taşı saptanmıştır. Örneklemimizdeki öğrencilerin 750’sinde (%46,9) diş fırçalama alışkanlığı yok iken, dişlerini düzenli fırçalayanların oranı 171’dir (%10,7).
