A Brief History of the Library of the Romanian Academy, Branch of Iaşi

Abstract

The paper makes a brief historical survey of the Library of the Romanian Academy – Branch of Iasi, laying stress on the difficult moments the librarians and scientists had to face in the dark years of the communist period. Also highlighted are the innovations and modernization steps taken after the year 1989, when the library came to provide a lot to the scientific community of the university center of Iasi.
