A busca de informação de alunos de nÃvel médio técnico integrado

Abstract
The informational behavior can be conceptualized as a set of activities performed by people in the environment where they operate, with the purpose of obtaining information to meet their needs when performing demanding tasks. This paper brings the results of a survey of high technical level education students of the Federal Institute of Paraná, Jacarezinho Campus, in order to verify in which spaces they search for information, if such demand is fulfilled with information effectively needed, how this group sees the library, and what is their knowledge of the tools used. The methodology involved a questionnaire with qualitative and quantitative analysis in parallel with the literature used. The findings point to a pure and simple use of Internet search engines at home and not in the school environment. The search is shown to attend immediate needs, usually held in a data source, and students feel successful on the satisfaction of their needs.
