Journal Title: The Indian Practitioner - Year 2018, Vol 71, Issue 11

Abstract

Osteochondroma is a bony developmental anomaly with the potential to get a malignant transformation. It forms due to an outgrowth of growth plate which is made up of bone & cartilage. Mostly osteochondromas are asymptomatic and grow away from the nearby joint. This paper reports of an osteochondroma in which the patient was symptomatic and had unusual shape and presentation. We excised the bony outgrowth completely and sent for histopathological examination which eventually diagnosed as osteochondroma
