A clinical case of eosinophilic esophagitis combined with macroamylasemia

Abstract
Eosinophilic esophagitis is one of the most prevalent esophageal diseases and the leading cause of dysphagia and food impaction in children and young adults. The authors presented a clinical case of a patient with eosinophilic esophagitis and macroamylasemia. The evidence-based recommendations of the United European Gastroenterological Association have been outlined as regards the diagnosis, treatment method, of the eosinophilic esophagitis, and observation of patients with this disorder. The definition and forms of macroamylasemia, data on the clinical significance and prognosis have been provided.
