Journal Title: Journal of Medical Science And clinical Research - Year 2017, Vol 5, Issue 1
Abstract
Coronary artery disease (CAD) is the result of the accumulation of atheromatous plaques within the walls of the coronary arteries. CAD is one of the most common cause of morbidity and mortality in different communities. WHO has predicted that by 2020 up to three quarters of death in developing countries would result from non-communicable diseases and CAD will top the list of killers. Patients with ischeamic heart disease fall into two large groups: patients with chronic coronary artery disease who most commonly present with stable angina and patients with acute coronary syndromes.
